The web tool is free, with no account required. Security checks and rate limits keep it available. The developer API has separate credits.
Can I save private or protected posts?
This release supports public posts through an anonymous source. Protected or login-required media is not supported. An unavailable response does not necessarily mean a post is private.
How do I save on iPhone?
Open the MP4 link in Safari. Saving options depend on iOS and your browser. See our iPhone saving guide.
Does it download Twitter GIFs?
When X provides animated GIF media as MP4, we return that MP4. We do not convert it into a .gif image.
Is HD always available?
No. We show the MP4 versions X provides. A low-resolution upload cannot become HD just by downloading it.
Do you store videos?
No. Your browser retrieves videos directly from X’s CDN. Public metadata may be cached briefly.
